Setting Laptop Resolution for DoTA

This was just a handy tip for those who don't like playing DoTA on a stretched screen, like a widescreen laptop.

1)Find out your desktop resolution, or preferred resolution. For example, mine is 1366 x 768. (Because your desktop resolution is usually fine and not stretched.)

2) open "regedit" (registry editor), go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III\Video.

3) Under the "Name column", look for resheight and reswidth, and doubleclick on it to change the values.
Change the base from "hexadecimal" to "decimal", and then enter your screen resolution under "value data", under the respective names(resheight for height, reswidth for width). Finally, click on "hexadecimal" to convert your desired screen resolution into hexadecimal format and press ok.
For me, i changed reswidth from decimal 1024 to 1366.

Hope that's helpful :)

silver spoon

I must say...

one of the most interesting mangas i found today!
Gin no Saji (Silver spoon)

It's a manga about agriculture, which is a refreshing new genre away from the millions of battle/highschool mangas out there. Ever since Haruhi beca
me popular, even more highschool mangas came out (sket dan, yank
ee kun to megane chan, L*S, etc). Some series try to provide a different concept, like Eden no Ori, which is a survival manga with mostly highschool students on a dinosaur island( those who read eden no ori- forget it, just call them dinos. it's simpler this way, just forget about being accurate on what those creatures are ATM). In my opinion it ends up as a survival manga, the dino part was simply what differentiates it from other mystery/survival mangas like Judge, Meteor, Sprite, Higanjima etc.
Which at this point i realised, most survival mangas incl
udes a mystery, which the main characters attempt to solve as they try to survive. The increasing amount of mystery/survival mangas made my interest in the two genres decrease. Maybe because i have been reading too much of such genres and had enough of it. Right now i'm most interested in dining/wine mangas like Bambino, Bartender,
Sommeliere, etc. Not sure if i mentioned it before, but Bambino is a manga on a young man learning to cook in an Italian restaurant, as he finds out more on the different roles of those working in the restaurant, and the types of customers that enter the restaurant. Bartender is a manga on mi
xing drinks(that sounded crude), and Sommeliere is a manga on choosing wine. I find Bartender more interesting than Sommeliere, even though th
ey have the same concept (providing the appropriate alcohol/drink for the customer), maybe because there is mixing involved in Bartender. It's like why Dota is more well known than X Hero seige- there are combinations of items you can choose for 70+ heroes, and there always
will be a new combination of items that works best after some time(popularity of RoR -> tango in the past). Of course, Dota is more popular than X hero for more reasons(like having competiton among people), but let's just pretend that you are in awe by the crap i said about item combinations making things more interesting and stuff.

O yeah i almost forgot to put pics for the manga:

Gin no saji (holy this image is big)

Bartender (manga)

Sommeliere (Manga)

Oh and i read somewhere FMA seems to be related to Gin no saji. Same author maybe?

I guess i really need to do my research =x
