An additional blog post which is more like a follow up, but if it's of different content, do you call it a follow up?

I saw one of my older posts and realised that there were a few mangas that had deviated from their initial "theme" and became more mainstream- Examples like Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and Medeka Box. Both started out as humor manga but became more battle intense manga(esp KHB!, imo).. Not that it became worse, but I don't understand if there is a need for yet another battle manga. Personally I have had enough of battle manga and don't mind seeing more light humor mangas like what ky0t0 animation produces (Melancholy of suzumiya haruhi, K-ON!, Lucky star etc.), but if it's battle manga, make it unique and more realistic. I enjoyed pumpkin scissors alot, although it is a little unreal. Even now i read cyber blue for the same reason why there are people who still play contra- To relieve the good old times.

Speaking of this, I recalled reading 2 mangas that i think are quite good- "Sommelier", and "say hello to Black Jack". Sommelier has a similiar storyplot to "Bartender", but i would say both are worth reading . On the other hand, "Say hello to black jack" is a medical manga, but instead of focusing on the medical aspects of the story, most of the plot revolves around politics in the hospital. If you want to see doctors with amazing skills and techniques, this probably isn't the manga. But if you're interested in a different viewpoint of a ("jap")hospital, Say hello to black jack.

literally.
